“On February 16, Broadcaster reporter Tozu Gulmamedova was performing her professional duties on Rustaveli Avenue. On April 8, a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed her of a fine. The journalist is being accused of blocking the road,” reports the Public Broadcaster.

Tozu Gulmamedova’s case is not the first — there have already been 16 documented incidents in which police have accused journalists, who were carrying out their professional work at the time, of “artificially blocking the road.”
