Activist Mariam Sichinava has been arrested again—according to the police, she violated Article 173 of the Administrative Offenses Code by disobeying a lawful order from law enforcement.
Earlier, Mariam Sichinava had posted a video on social media showing her with a covered face, setting off fireworks near the Zugdidi City Hall. For these actions, six violation reports had been filed against her, and the court fined her 5,000 GEL.
“Yesterday, I was released from detention, as many of you know. Today, to demonstrate that I do not comply and that I fear no imprisonment, I used fireworks again! Disobedience continues,” – Sichinava wrote.
აქტივისტი მარიამ სიჭინავა ისევ დააკავეს – პოლიციელის თქმით, მან დაარღვია ადმიმისტრაციულ სამართალდღვევათა კოდექსის 173-ე მუხლი, პოლიციელის კანონიერი მოთხოვნისადმი დაუმორჩილებლობა.
