Today, at the Tbilisi City Court, a hearing was held in the case of Mate Devizde, who was arrested during the post-election protests.

During today’s session, a police officer with victim status and the case investigator were questioned.

After the investigator’s testimony concluded, members of Mate Devizde’s family reacted with an outburst in the courtroom.

As a reminder, Mate Devizde is accused under the Criminal Code of physically assaulting three police officers. He faces a potential prison sentence of 4 to 7 years.
