Mariami Bajelidze, who is six months pregnant, was alone with her 7-year-old child when representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office entered her home to conduct a search.

The individuals who conducted the search told Mariami Bajelidze that the court order referenced Articles 318 and 319 of the Criminal Code. Article 318 refers to sabotage, while Article 319 concerns “assisting hostile activities carried out for a foreign country, a foreign organization, or an organization under foreign control.”
Mariami, who is pregnant, was at home with her 7-year-old child at the time.
