This is the condition I discovered when I got home.
When they dispersed us with water cannons near Parliament, I was standing on Chitadze Street. They unleashed the water jets, chaos broke out, and I became completely disoriented. People turned toward Rustaveli Metro and started running in that direction. Along with the water, they were also releasing gas, and I realized I had to save myself.

I turned toward Liberty Square Metro instead and separated from the crowd. I hadn’t even reached Kashveti Church when I felt a burning sensation on my legs. I decided to push forward and make my way toward Liberty Square Metro. Some guy shouted to me that water cannons were already deployed near Parliament and that the riot police would catch me.

I barely managed to limp my way to Rustaveli Metro. My legs were burning, but I thought it was because my pants were soaked. When I got home and changed my clothes — this is what I saw.

We often say the protest carries a woman’s voice, because it truly does.

For a democratic and free Georgia, they are fighting on every front – in prisons, on Rustaveli and even on the front lines in Ukraine!
